Introduction to Adding Integers
In sports, the final score isn't the only thing that matters. We can also gather stats to measure the performance of individual players or teams. In football, for example, a running back might gain and lose yards throughout the game. If a running back gained [latex]8[/latex] yards, lost [latex]6[/latex] yards, gained [latex]3[/latex] yards, lost [latex]10[/latex] yards, gained [latex]25[/latex] yards, and then lost [latex]2[/latex] yards in a game, what were his total yards for the game? To figure this out, you'll need to add integers.Learning Outcomes
